Wimbledon, 1980. The rainiest summer of the decade. The world is looking forward to seeing tennis player Björn Borg defend his fifth Wimbledon title. Few people know the drama behind the scenes: at just 24, Borg is close to the end, troubled and anxious. His 20-year-old challenger John McEnroe decided to replace his former hero on the Wimbledon throne. Borg / McEnroe is a success story. The world’s best tennis players are trapped in their own careers. Both athletes are constantly being pushed against each other by the commercial tennis industry: as opposed to the characters “lce Borg” and “Superbrat”. Rivals are forced to admit during Wimbledon 1980 that the only one who understands what they are going through is their greatest enemy.
