Effective immediately, a Berlin court has dismissed the insolvency proceedings of A COMPANY FILM LICENSING INTL., allowing its operations to continue. Creditors formally approved a plan of reorganization on Dec. 3rd 2015, which allowed judge Dr. Jutta Bückner to dismiss the case. A COMPANY emerges from a brief insolvency with its film library intact and the company is now owned by a group of private investors backing Managing Director Alexander van Dülmen. The focus of A COMPANY FILM LICENSING INTL. now turns to continuing to exploit its extensive library, which includes such titles as “Shutter Island”, “The Hurt Locker” and the “Saw” franchise.
“We are thrilled to put this chapter behind us and carry on fulfilling all of our obligations under existing deals, as well as pursuing new opportunities,”, said van Dülmen. The company’s Hungarian subsidiary is part of the new ownership structure and acts as a sales intermediary in several territories, under the continuing leadership of Mihai Mos, who has been promoted to head of licensing in all territories.
